Welcome to Our New “Light House” Curriculum at Ckids after-school program!
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new “Light House: Making My Home Hashem’s Home” curriculum at the Ckids after-school program. This innovative program, developed by the International Chabad Children's Network (CKids), will enhance our after-school program with a fresh, engaging approach to Jewish education.
What to Expect with “Light House”
Hebrew
Our students will gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur, the Jewish prayer book. Through the “Light House” curriculum, they’ll deepen their understanding of essential prayers, becoming more knowledgeable and comfortable with the Hebrew texts that are central to our faith.
Jewish Values
The program emphasizes core Jewish values that are designed to guide students throughout their lives. By exploring these values, children will learn practical tools to enrich their experiences and interactions, both now and as they grow into adulthood.
Traditions, Shabbat, and Holidays
Through hands-on activities and immersive experiences, students will gain a deeper appreciation for Jewish traditions, Shabbat, and holidays. The curriculum aims to instill a love for these practices and help students connect more meaningfully with their heritage.
Torah
Students will study inspirational messages from the Torah, learning practical lessons that apply to their daily lives. The “Light House” curriculum will help them see the relevance of Torah teachings in their everyday experiences.
Jewish History
Understanding our rich Jewish history is crucial, and the program will help students appreciate the cultural and historical continuity of our people. By learning about the past, students will gain a greater sense of their place within our tradition.
